Kayije Kagame, Hugo Radi, 2023, 24’

One night, an actor prepares to go on stage while a museum guard makes her rounds. Both of them gradually allow themselves to be permeated by these dormant institutions, on the sidelines of performances and exhibitions.

Kayije Kagame

Kayije Kagame (b. 1987 in Geneva, Switzerland) studied theater at ENSATT in Lyon. She took part in Robert Wilson’s Watermill International Summer Program Residency in Long Island, USA and was also artist in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. The creator of numerous performances, sound pieces, films, and installations. The role of Rama in Saint Omer (2022) by Alice Diop marks her feature film debut and it was awarded with the Silver Lion, also was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and invited to numerous festivals worldwide. Kayije Kagame was selected as a ‘Revelation’ by the French Film Academy for the Césars 2023.

Hugo Radi

Hugo Radi (b. 1992 in Geneva, Switzerland) graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor in Film from École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL). His shorts FEDOR (2016) and SWIZZAIR (2015) both screened at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. ALBA and INITIAL (2022) premiered at Visions du Réel in Nyon. His short film NIGHT SHIFT (2023), which he co-directed with Kayije Kagame won the Silver Leopard for best short film in the national competition at the Locarno Film Festival, and the “Asino d’Oro” award for best film at the Concorto Film Festival (2023).
